Product Overview
AD526 is a single-ended, monolithic software programmable gain amplifier (SPGA). It is complete, including amplifier, resistor network and TTL-compatible latched inputs, and requires no external components. Low gain error and low nonlinearity make it ideal for precision instrumentation applications requiring programmable gain. To provide flexibility to the system designer, this can be operated in either latched or transparent mode. The force/sense configuration preserves accuracy when the output is connected to remote or low impedance loads. Typical applications are dynamic range extension for ADC systems, gain ranging preamps.
- Digitally programmable binary gains from 1 to 16
- Two-chip cascade mode achieves binary gain from 1 to 256
- Gain range (digitally programmable) is 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 (at VS=±15V, RL=2Kohm and TA=+25°C)
- Gain error drift is 2ppm/°C (at G=1, VS=±15V, RL=2Kohm and TA=+25°C)
- Input offset voltage is 0.4mV typ (at VS=±15V, RL=2Kohm and TA=+25°C)
- Short-circuit current is 30mA typ (at VS=±15V, RL=2Kohm and TA=+25°C)
- Operating voltage range from ±4.5 to ±16.5V (at VS=±15V, RL=2Kohm and TA=+25°C)
- Specified performance industrial temperature range from -40 to 85°C
