Product Overview
AD5316ARUZ is a quad 10bit buffered voltage output DAC. It operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V supply, consuming 500μA at 3V. Their on-chip output amplifiers allow rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7V/μs. A 2-wire serial interface, which operates at clock rates up to 400KHz, is used. This interface is SMBus-compatible at VDD <lt/> 3.6 V. Multiple devices can be placed on the same bus. Each DAC has a separate reference input that can be configured as buffered or unbuffered. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the asynchronous active-low LDAC input. The parts incorporate a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC outputs power up to 0V and remains there until a valid write to the device takes place. It is used in applications such as portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, programmable attenuators, and industrial process control.

- Output voltage settling time is 7μs typical at (1/4 scale to 3/4 scale change (0x100 to 0x300))
- Slew rate is 0.7V/μs typical at (VDD = 2.5V to 5.5V; VREF = 2V; RL = 2Kohm to GND)
- Total harmonic distortion is -70dB typical at (VREF = 2.5V ±0.1V p-p, frequency = 10KHz)
- Major-code change glitch energy is 12nV-s typical at (1LSB change around major carry)
- Double-buffered input logic, buffered/unbuffered reference input options
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, 16-lead TSSOP package
