Product Overview
AD7616 is a 16bit, DAS with 16bit, bipolar input, dual simultaneous sampling ADC. The device contains analogue input clamp protection, a dual, 16bit charge redistribution SAR analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), a flexible digital filter, a 2.5V reference and reference buffer and high speed serial and parallel interfaces. Typical application includes power line monitoring, protective relays, multiphase motor control, instrumentation and control systems and data acquisition systems (DASs).
- Independently selectable channel input ranges true bipolar: ±10V, ±5V, ±2.5V
- Single 5V analogue supply and 2.3V to 3.6V VDRIVE supply
- Fully integrated data acquisition solution: analogue input clamp protection
- Input buffer with 1Mohm analogue input impedance, first-order antialiasing analogue filter
- On-chip accurate reference and reference buffer and dual 16bit successive approximation register
- Oversampling capability with digital filter and flexible sequencer with burst mode
- Flexible parallel/serial interface:SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE, DSP compatible, optional CRC error checking
- 92/90.5dB SNR at 500KSPS (2× oversampling)/1MSPS, -103dB THD, ±1LSB INL (typ), ±0.99LSB DNL (max)
- 8KV ESD rating on analogue input ch's, hardware/software configuration, on-chip self detect function
- 80 lead LQFP package, operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
