Product Overview
AD7661ASTZ is a 16bit, 100KSPS, charge redistribution SAR analogue to digital converter that operates from a single 5V power supply. The part contains a high speed 16-bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, internal reference, error correction circuits and both serial and parallel system interface ports. The AD7661 is hardware factory-calibrated and comprehensively tested to ensure ac parameters such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD), in addition to the more traditional dc parameters of gain, offset and linearity. Typical applications include data acquisition, medical instruments, digital signal processing, spectrum analysis, instrumentation, battery-powered systems and process control.
- 2.5V internal reference: typical drift 3ppm/°C, guaranteed max drift 15ppm/°C
- Throughput: 100KSPS and INL: ±2.5LSB max (±0.0038% of full scale)
- 16bit resolution with no missing codes and pin-to-pin compatible with PulSAR ADCs
- S/(N+D): 88dB min at 20KHz, THD: -96dB max at 20KHz and analogue input voltage range: 0V to 2.5V
- Both AC and DC specifications and no pipeline delay
- Parallel and serial 5V/3V interface
- SPI®/QSPI™/MICROWIRE™/DSP compatible
- Power dissipation: 16mW typ, 160µW at 1KSPS without REF and 40mW typ with REF
- 48 lead LQFP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
