Product Overview
ADM690A family of supervisory circuit offers complete single chip solutions for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor systems. These functions include µP reset, backup battery switchover, watchdog timer and power failure warning. This provides power-on reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. The active-low RESET output remains operational with VCC as low as 1V. This is fabricated using an advanced epitaxial CMOS process combining low power consumption and high reliability. Typical applications are microprocessor systems, computers, controllers, intelligent instruments.
- Battery backup switching for CMOS RAM, CMOS microprocessor or other low power devices
- A reset pulse if the optional watchdog timer has not been toggled within 1.6seconds
- VCC operating voltage range from 1 to 5.5V (VCC=4.75V to 5.5V, VBATT=+2.8V, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Supply current (excludes IOUT) is 100µA max (VCC=4.75V to 5.5V, VBATT=+2.8V, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Reset voltage threshold is 4.5 to 4.75V (VCC=4.75V to 5.5V, VBATT=+2.8V, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- RESET output voltage is 0.8V min (ISOURCE=4µA, VCC=1.1V, VCC=4.75V to 5.5V, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Watchdog timeout period is 2.25s max (VCC=4.75V to 5.5V, VBATT=+2.8V, TA=TMIN to TMAX)
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
- 8-lead SOIC package
