LT1529IT-5#PBF

LT1529IT-5#PBF is a 3A low dropout regulator with micropower quiescent current and shutdown capabilities. This device is capable of supplying 3A of output current with a dropout voltage of 0.6V. Designed for battery-powered systems, its low quiescent current of 50µA during operation and 16µA in shutdown make it an ideal choice. The quiescent current is well-controlled; it does not rise in dropout as it does with many other low dropout PNP regulators. Other features of the device include the ability to operate with small output capacitors. It remains stable with just 22µF on the output, while most older devices require up to 100µF for stability. The use of small ceramic capacitors enhances manufacturability. Applications include high-efficiency regulation, regulation for battery-powered systems, post-regulation for switching supplies, and 5V to 3.3V logic regulation.

• Input reverse leakage current is 1mA maximum at (VIN = –15V, VOUT = 0V)
• 5V regulated output voltage at (VIN = 5.5V, IOUT = 1mA, TJ = 25°C
• Operating junction temperature range from -45°C to 125°C (industrial), 5-lead plastic TO-220 package
