Product Overview
LT3090 is a low dropout negative linear regulator. It is easily parallelable to increase output current or spread heat on surface mounted boards. Designed with a precision current reference followed by a high performance rail-to-rail voltage buffer, this regulator finds use in applications requiring precision output, high current with no heat sink, output adjustability to zero and low dropout voltage. This device can also be configured as a 3-terminal floating regulator. It is widely used in application such as post regulator for switching supplies, low noise instrumentation and RF supplies, rugged industrial supplies, precision power supplies etc.
- Output current is 600mA, wide input voltage range is –1.5V to –36V
- Single resistor sets output voltage, rail-to-rail output voltage range is 0V to –32V
- 50µA SET pin current: ±1% initial accuracy, positive/negative shutdown logic or UVLO
- Programmable current limit, positive or negative output current monitor
- Parallelable for higher current and heat spreading, programmable cable drop compensation
- Low dropout voltage is 300mV, stable with 4.7µF minimum output capacitor
- Low output noise is 18µVRMS (10Hz to 100KHz), stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitors
- Configurable as 3-terminal floating regulator
- Load regulation( ΔISET) is 0.5nA, load regulation (ΔVOS) is 1.2mV
- Operating temperature is –40°C to 150°C, package style is 12-lead plastic MSOP
