Product Overview
LTC6430BIUF-15#PBF is a differential gain block amplifier designed to drive high-resolution, high-speed ADCs with excellent linearity beyond 1000MHz and with low associated output noise. The LTC6430-15 operates from a single 5V power supply and consumes only 800mW. In its differential configuration, the LTC6430-15 can directly drive the differential inputs of an ADC. Using 1:2 baluns, the device makes an excellent 50 ohm wideband balanced amplifier. While using 1:1.33 baluns, the device makes a high-fidelity 50MHz to 1000MHz 75 ohm CATV amplifier. It is designed for ease of use, requiring a minimum of support components. This device is internally matched to 100 ohm differential source/load impedance. On-chip bias and temperature compensation ensure consistent performance over environmental changes. Applications include differential ADC driver, differential IF amplifier, OFDM signal chain amplifier, 50 ohm balanced IF amplifier, 75 ohm CATV amplifier, 700MHz to 800MHz LTE amplifier.
- Insensitive to VCC variation, unconditionally stable
- Output third-order intercept point is 47.5dBm typ at (POUT = 2dBm/Tone, Δf = 8MHz, ZO = 100 ohm A-G)
- –3dB bandwidth is 2000MHz typ at (de-embedded to package (low frequency cut-off, 20MHz))
- Total supply current is 160mA typ at (all VCC pins plus +OUT and –OUT)
- Noise figure is 3dB typ at (de-embedded to package for balun input loss)
- Output 1dB compression point is 23.8dBm typical at (50MHz frequency, TA = 25°C)
- 5V typ operating supply range at (TA = 25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- 24-lead plastic QFN package
