Product Overview
The MAX6775XKB+T is a low power, 1% accurate battery monitor in 5 pin SC-70 package. This low power device is ideal for monitoring single lithium-ion (Li+) cells or multicell alkaline/NiCd/NiMH power sources. It offers single low battery output and factory set hysteresis of 5%. Hysteresis eliminates the output chatter some times which are associated with battery voltage monitors due to input voltage noise or battery terminal voltage recovery after load removal. It has an active-low output that asserts when the input falls below a set voltage. It is used in battery powered systems, cell phones/cordless phones, pagers, portable medical devices, PDAs, electronic toys and MP3 players.
- Operating voltage range is 1.2V to 5.5V at TA = -40°C to +85°C
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Low battery current of 3μA
- Low input leakage current allows use of large resistors
- Single active-low LBO output, push-pull output type, fixed hysteresis
- Valid low battery output logic state down to VBATT = 1V
- Immune to short battery transients
- Supply current of 4μA (VBATT = 3.7V, no load) and 3.2μA (VBATT = 1.8V, no load)
- Propagation delay of 9μs and start-up time of 3ms (VBATT rising above 1.6V)
