MCP73833-AMI/UN

The MCP73833-AMI/UN is a stand alone linear Li-ion/li-polymer charge management controller in 10 pin MSOP package. The device is ideally suitable where space and cost is of major concern. It is small in size and require less number of external components. For applications like charging from USB port, the MCP73833 can adhere to all specifications governing the USB power bus. The MCP73833 employs constant current/constant voltage charge algorithm with selectable preconditioning and charge termination. The constant current value is set with one external resistor. It limits charge current based on die temperature during high power or high ambient conditions. This thermal regulation optimizes the charge cycle time while maintaining device reliability.
