Product Overview
TSC202IDT is a high-side current sense amplifier that delivers an analogue voltage output. It can sense current via a shunt resistor over a wide range of common-mode voltages, from -16 to +80 V, whatever the supply voltage is. The TSC202 integrates an open-drain comparator with an output latch function and an internal 0.6V voltage reference connected to its input. The external resistor divider can then set the switching threshold. Applications include high-side current sensing, low-side current sensing, overcurrent protection, automotive current sensing, telecom equipment, test and measurement equipment, industrial process control.
- Wide common-mode voltage from -16 to 80V, internal open-drain comparator
- 2.7 to 18V supply voltage, 0.6V internal reference
- Latching capability on comparator, gain is 100V/V typical at (output (VSense ≥ 20mV, T = 25°C)
- Common-mode rejection is 110dB typical at (VIN+ = -16 to 80V, T = 25°C)
- Offset voltage, RTI is +3mV maximum at (25°C < T < Tmax)
- Offset drift (RTI) vs. temperature is 0.5µV/°C typical at (Tmin < T < Tmax, T = 25°C)
- Quiescent current is 1.8mA max, typ voltage noise density is 55nV/√Hz (f = 100KHz)
- Settling time is 2µs typ at (VSense = 10 to 100mVpp, up to 1 % final value, CLoad = 5pF)
- Slew rate is 7V/µs typical (T = 25°C), 1.5 ohm typical output impedance (T = 25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, SO8 package
