The VSMY2940G is a 940nm SurfLight™ portfolio Infrared Emitting Diode based on GaAlAs surface emitter chip technology. It is moulded in clear, untinted plastic package (with lens) for surface mounting (SMD). It is suitable for use in miniature light barrier, photointerrupters, optical switch and emitter source for proximity sensors.
