LT3033 is a very low dropout voltage (VLDO™) linear regulator. It is ideal for low input voltage to low output voltage applications, providing comparable electrical efficiency to a switching regulator. This device optimizes stability and transient response with low ESR ceramic output capacitors as small as 10μF. Other features include programmable current limit, an output current monitor and a power good flag to indicate output voltage regulation. In shutdown, quiescent current typically drops to 22μA. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery protection, current limiting with foldback, thermal limiting with hysteresis and reverse current protection. It is widely used in application such as high efficiency linear regulators, battery-powered systems, logic supplies, post regulator for switching supplies, wireless modems, FPGA core supplies etc.
