FRDM665CANFDEVB is an evaluation board for MC33665A with CAN FD Gateway and TPL communication. It serves as a hardware evaluation tool in support of the MC33665A BMS from NXP. The MC33665A is a gateway router that can route TPL messages from the microcontroller (MCU) to four different TPL ports. It is designed for use in both automotive and industrial applications. The device can route both TPL2 and TPL3 messages. The FRDM665CANFDEVB is an ideal board for rapid prototyping of the MC33665A for CAN or CAN FD interface to MCUs. Onboard TPL interface for four TPL ports has transformer isolation. Typical applications include battery management system (BMS).

• TPL communication (2Mbit/s) and 20 pin connector for GPIO and I2C interface
• LED indicator: VBAT, VDD5V, VREG and VIO
• DIP switch to configure CFG and ID pin, jumpers to configure VDDIO, reset switch to control MC33665A
• CAN or CAN FD to 4 x TPL communication and 8 GPIO pins (2 pins configurable for I2C) (MC33665A)
• High-speed CAN FD transceiver up to 5Mbit/s
