AD5542ABCPZ-500RL7 is a 16-bit, serial input, unbuffered voltage output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. Offering unbuffered outputs, the AD5542A achieves a 1μs settling time with low offset errors ideal for high-speed open loop control. The AD5542A incorporates a bipolar mode of operation that generates a ±VREF output swing. The AD5542A also includes Kelvin sense connections for the reference and analogue ground pins to reduce layout sensitivity. It is used in applications such as automatic test equipment, precision source-measure instruments, data acquisition systems, medical and aerospace instrumentation, and communication equipment.

- Differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±0.5LSB typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, VLOGIC = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- Unipolar zero-code temperature coefficient is ±0.05ppm/°C typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- Output noise spectral density is 11.8nV/√Hz typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- Slew rate is 17V/µs typical at (CL = 10pF, measured from 0% to 63%)
- Output voltage settling time is 1μs typical at (1/2 LSB of FS, CL = 10pF, VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
- 2.7V to 5.5V single-supply operation, power-on reset clears DAC output to midscale
- Hardware CLR and LDAC functions, 50MHz SPI-/QSPI-/MICROWIRE-/DSP-compatible interface
- Digital-to-analogue glitch impulse is 1.1nV-sec typical at (1LSB change around major carry)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 16-lead LFCSP-WQ package
