AD8216WYRZ is a single-supply, difference amplifier ideal for amplifying small differential voltages in the presence of large common-mode voltages. The operating input common-mode voltage range extends from -4V to +65V. The typical supply voltage is 5V. It features a 3MHz bandwidth, allowing for the input-to-output propagation delay that is always less than 150ns. This feature is ideal for applications monitoring rapidly increasing and decreasing load currents. The output offset can be adjusted from 0.06V to 4.9V with a 5V supply by using the VREF1 pin and the VREF2 pin. With the VREF1 pin attached to the V+ pin and the VREF2 pin attached to the GND pin, the output is set at half scale. It is used in applications such as high-side current sensing in DC-to-DC converters, motor controls, transmission controls, diesel injection controls, engine management, suspension controls, and vehicle dynamic controls.

- Gain vs. temperature is 10ppm/°C typical at (VS = 5V)
- Offset voltage is ±0.5mV typical at (VS = 5V), offset drift is ±10µV/°C typical at (VS = 5V)
- Power supply rejection ratio is 70dB minimum at (VS = 5V)
- Common-mode rejection ratio is 90dB typical at (25°C, f = dc to 20KHz, VS = 5V)
- Slew rate is 15V/µs typical at (VS = 5V), propagation delay is 100ns typical at (VS = 5V)
- Quiescent current over temperature is 1mA typical at (VOUT = 0.1Vdc, VS = 5V)
- Noise is 20µV p-p typical at (0.1Hz to 10Hz, VS = 5V), qualified for automotive application
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 8-lead SOIC-N package
