ADIS16470 is a miniature MEMS inertial measurement unit that includes a triaxial gyroscope and a triaxial accelerometer. Each inertial sensor in the device combines with signal conditioning that optimizes dynamic performance. The factory calibration characterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, alignment, linear acceleration (gyroscope bias), and point of percussion (accelerometer location). As a result, each sensor has dynamic compensation formulas that provide accurate sensor measurements over a broad set of conditions. It provides a simple, cost effective method for integrating accurate, multiaxis inertial sensing into industrial systems, especially when compared with the complexity and investment associated with discrete designs. It is used in application such as navigation, stabilization, and instrumentation, unmanned and autonomous vehicles, smart agriculture/construction machinery, factory/industrial automation, robotics, virtual/augmented reality, internet of moving things.
- Gyroscope dynamic range is ±2000°/sec min at (TC = 25°C), on demand self test of flash memory
- Gyroscope in run stability is 8°/hr typ at (TC = 25°C), on demand self test of inertial sensors
- Rate noise density is 0.008°/sec/√Hz rms typ at (1σ, f = 10Hz to 40Hz)
- Accelerometer dynamic range is ±40g min at (TA = 25°C)
- Accelerometer in run stability is 13g typical, triaxial, delta angle and delta velocity outputs
- Factory calibrated sensitivity, bias, and axial alignment, SPI compatible data communications
- Programmable operation and control, automatic and manual bias correction controls
- Data ready indicator for synchronous data acquisition
- Single-supply operation is 3V to 3.6V, 2000g mechanical shock survivability
- Operating temperature is -25°C to +85°C, package style is 44-ball ball grid array module [BGA]
