HMC574AMS8E is a low-cost SPDT switch. It is used in transmit/receive applications which requires very low distortion at high incident power levels. This device can control signals from DC to 3GHz and is especially suited for cellular/3G infrastructure, WiMAX and WiBro applications with only 0.3dB typical insertion loss. The design provides 5 watt power handling performance and +63dBm third order intercept at +8Volt bias. RF1 and RF2 are reflective shorts when “Off”. It is widely used in applications such as private mobile radio handsets, automotive telematics, test equipment etc.

• Isolation is 30dB typical at (DC - 1GHz, TA = +25°C, Vctl = 0/+5Vdc, Vdd = +5Vdc)
• Insertion loss is 0.25dB typical at (DC - 1GHz, TA = +25°C, Vctl = 0/+5Vdc, Vdd = +5Vdc)
• Input power for 1dB compression is 34dBm typical at (0.5GHz to 3GHz, TA = +25°C)
• Return loss is 35dB typical at (DC - 1GHz, TA = +25°C, Vctl = 0/+5Vdc, Vdd = +5Vdc)
• Switching characteristics is 40ns typical at (DC - 3GHz, TA = +25°C, Vctl = 0/+5Vdc, Vdd = +5Vdc)
• Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C
