The MAX16033LLB29+T is a low power battery backup circuit in 10 pin µDFN package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor (µP) systems. The device significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to other ICs or discrete components. The MAX16033 provide µP reset, backup battery switchover, power-fail warning and chip enable gating features. It operates from supply voltages up to 5.5V. The device features a manual reset input and chip enable gating. It also includes a powerfail comparator and offers an active-low push-pull reset. Applications include portable/battery powered equipment, POS equipment, critical µP/µC power monitoring, set-top boxes, controllers, computers, fax machines, industrial control, real time clocks and intelligent instrument.
- Reset threshold voltage of 2.93V, low 1.2V operating supply voltage
- Precision monitoring of 5V, 3.3V, 3V and 2.5V power supply voltages
- Independent power-fail comparator, debounced manual reset input
- Low 13μA quiescent supply current (VCC=2.8V), 1μA supply current in battery back-up mode (TA=25°C)
- Active-low reset valid down to 1.2V
- Power supply transient immunity, 140ms (min) 280ms (max) reset timeout period
- 1µs minimum pulse width, 100ns glitch immunity at VCC = 3.3V, 120ns active-low MR to reset delay
- VCC falling reset delay of 25µs at VCC falling at 10V/ms
- VCC to OUT on-resistance of 3.1ohm at VCC = 4.75V, VCC <gt/> VTH, IOUT = 150mA
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
