The MAX6004EUR+T is a low cost, low power, low dropout series voltage reference with 4.096V output voltage in 3 pin SOT-23 package. This device meets cost advantage of shunt references and offers the power saving advantage of series references which traditionally high cost. Unlike conventional shunt mode (two terminal) references that must be biased at load current and require an external resistor, this device eliminates the need for an external resistor and offers supply current that is virtually independent of supply voltage. This micropower device is ideal for high volume, cost sensitive 3V and 5V battery operated systems with wide variations in supply voltage that require very low power dissipation. Additionally, MAX6004 is internally compensated and does not require an external compensation capacitor which saves valuable board area in space critical applications.
- Input voltage range from 4.296V to 12.6V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Initial accuracy of 1% and output voltage temperature coefficient of 20ppm/°C
- Noise voltage of 200μVrms at f = 10Hz to 10KHz and 100μVp-p at f = 0.1Hz to 10Hz
- Quiescent supply current of 27μA
- 0.8μA/V supply current variation with VIN
- Output source and sink current of ±400μA
- Ripple rejection of 77dB and dropout voltage of 100mV at IOUT = 400μA
- Load regulation is 0.15μV/μA (0 ≤ IOUT ≤400μA) & line regulation is 25μV/V (4.296V ≤ VIN ≤ 12.6V)
- Stable with load capacitance (CLOAD) of 0nF to 2.2nF
