MAX31820MCR+

The MAX31820MCR+ is a 1-wire digital ambient temperature sensor in 3 pin TO-92 package. It provides 9bit to 12bit celsius temperature measurements with ±0.5°C accuracy over 10°C to 45°C temperature range. The device can derive power directly from data line (parasite power) which eliminates the need for an external power supply. Requiring few pins enables the device to be placed in 3-pin TO-92 package. The form factor of this package allows the device to be placed above board and thus measures ambient temperature of system. Each MAX31820 has a unique 64bit serial code which allows multiple MAX31820 devices to function on same 1-wire bus. Therefore, it is simple to use one microprocessor to control many devices distributed over a large area. The MAX31820 is used in HVAC environmental controls, temperature monitoring systems inside buildings, equipment or machinery, process monitoring and control systems, thermostatic controls, thermometers and in any thermally sensitive systems.
