The MAX708TCSA+T is a +3V voltage monitoring low cost microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit in 8 pin NSOIC package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required to monitor +3V power supply levels in +3V to +5V µP systems. It significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. This device provides reset output during power-up, power-down and brown-out conditions. The MAX708T provides 1.25V threshold detector for power fail warning, low battery detection or for monitoring power supply other than main supply. It also provides active-low manual reset input. This device does not have a watchdog timer. Instead, it provides both active-low RESET and RESET outputs. This device is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical µP power monitoring and battery powered equipments.
- Supply voltage range from 1V to 5.5V
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
- Active-high, push-pull / active-low, push-pull reset output signal
- Reset threshold of 3.08V and reset time delay of 200ms
- Debounced TTL/CMOS compatible manual reset input
- Quiescent current of 100μA
- Supply current of 50μA at VCC <lt/> 3.6V and 65μA VCC <lt/> 5.5V
- Active-low RESET assertion to VCC = 1V
